Fresno Down Payment Assistance Program offers second mortgage loans to first time home buyers.
The City of Fresno administers a first-time homebuyer program that provides up to $50,000 as a silent second loan to an eligible homebuyer. The program helps low-income households to purchase their first home in qualified census tracts within the City of Fresno (excluding County islands) and is funded with State of California CalHome Program funds and/or U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development HOME Program funds.
This first time home buyer program is subject to change and may be discontinued. Not all first time home borrowers will be approved for the Fresno Down payment Assistance Program. There are other options such as the California FHA Home Loan that can help buyers who do not have assets for a down payment and/or closing costs.
